Privacy Notice

1. Scope and Who We Are

This Privacy Notice applies to davcoconstructionhb.com and project inquiries sent to Davco through the website, email, or telephone. “Davco,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean David Wayne Gregory, a California sole proprietor doing business as Davco Construction Co.

2. Information Involved

Information you choose to provide

The inquiry form asks for your name, email address, project type, and project description. You may also provide a phone number, project location, and other details in your message. If you contact us another way, we receive the information contained in that communication.

Technical information handled by providers

This is a static website published through GitHub Pages. GitHub, Cloudflare or other domain and security infrastructure, FormSubmit, and email providers may process routine technical data needed to deliver and protect their services, such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested page, referral information, access time, and security or server logs. FormSubmit may also process form contents and anti-spam signals before delivering a submission to Davco by email.

Optional Google Analytics information

If you select Accept analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4. Google may then process a random browser identifier, pages viewed, referral source, broad device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and limited events such as use of a phone, email, project-contact, or navigation link. Davco does not send the contents of project forms, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, project locations, or message text to Google Analytics.

The Google tag stays off unless you accept analytics. Davco does not use Google Analytics for advertising, link Google Ads, or enable advertising personalization or Google Signals. The site does not offer website accounts, an on-site customer database, or online payment processing.

3. How We Use Information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

• receive, evaluate, and respond to project inquiries;
• communicate about a requested estimate, site visit, or potential project;
• maintain business and correspondence records;
• with your consent, understand aggregate site use, improve the site, and measure which contact paths are useful;
• protect the site, email systems, Davco, and others from misuse or fraud;
• comply with legal, licensing, insurance, tax, and recordkeeping obligations; and
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Submitting an inquiry does not create a construction contract or reserve a project date. Construction records created after a contract is signed may be governed by additional project documents and legal recordkeeping requirements.

4. When Information Is Disclosed

Information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary to:

• service providers that host or secure the site, process the inquiry form, provide email or communications, or support Davco's business;
• Google, only after analytics consent, to provide Google Analytics measurement under Google's applicable service and privacy terms;
• professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required or reasonably necessary for legal, safety, compliance, or claims purposes; and
• a successor in connection with a genuine reorganization, sale, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law.

Davco does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or offer a financial incentive for personal information.

5. Retention

Davco keeps inquiry and correspondence records only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, evaluate a potential project, maintain appropriate business records, comply with law, and resolve disputes. The period can vary with the nature of the inquiry and whether it becomes a project. Infrastructure providers may retain technical logs or form-processing records under their own retention practices.

When analytics is enabled, Davco intends to keep GA4 user- and event-level reporting data for two months. Google may keep certain aggregated, security, or system information under its own policies. Browser cookies may remain until they expire or you withdraw consent through the analytics choices control.

6. Security

Davco uses reasonable administrative and technical measures suited to a small, static business website and limits use of inquiry information to legitimate business purposes. No internet transmission, email, or storage method is completely secure. Please do not send payment or bank information, government identification numbers, passwords or access codes, health information, or other sensitive information through the form or ordinary email.

7. Cookies and Browser Signals

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics. If accepted, Google may set first-party cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_… cookie to distinguish browsers and sessions. The site stores your analytics choice in browser storage so it can honor the choice on later visits.

You may revisit or withdraw consent at any time using the Analytics choices control in the site footer. Withdrawal changes the stored choice, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies, and reloads the page without the Google tag. Infrastructure or form providers may still use technology needed for security, delivery, or abuse prevention under their own policies.

Davco does not use analytics for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not sell or share personal information for that purpose. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

8. California Privacy Rights

Depending on the law that applies to Davco and your request, California residents may have rights to know or access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, or receive information about disclosures. Where applicable, residents also have rights to opt out of a sale or sharing and to receive equal service after exercising a privacy right. Davco does not sell or share personal information as those terms are used for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request, and we will respond as applicable law requires. An authorized agent may make a request where California law permits.

9. Children

This website is intended for adults seeking construction services and is not directed to children under 13. Davco does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us to request review and deletion.

10. Other Websites and Services

Links to CSLB and other independent services are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this one. Form submissions are processed by FormSubmit, the website is published through GitHub Pages, and Google Analytics is used only after analytics consent.

11. Updates and Contact

We may update this notice when the site, our practices, or applicable law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
